A familiar East Walnut Hills hangout will once again be open to the public starting this April.
Woodburn Brewing is officially reopening its doors 4-11 p.m. April 29, with an updated look, favorite brews and a few new ones, too.
Back in December 2020, Sycamore Township's March First Manufacturing — the company that oversees March First Brewing, Cincinnati Distilling and FigLeaf Brewing — acquired the brewery.
At that time they said they planned to "enhance" the taproom by adding more seating, a lounge area and a full kitchen — all of these are still forthcoming. Woodburn has also grabbed up the green space behind the building in order to construct an outdoor beer garden with room for live music.
March First decided to keep the Woodburn name and continue to brew Woodburn's beer recipes.
Popular bartender Giacomo Ciminello — most recently bar manager and mixologist extraordinaire at nearby Night Drop — is spearheading Woodburn's rebirth.
“I am absolutely ecstatic that I get to work with Cincinnati Distilling and March First Brewing to reopen Woodburn," he said in a release. "It’s been a gem in the neighborhood for some time, and I can’t wait to get my team in there to just blow the doors off and have some fun.”
During the reopening, Woodburn fans will see familiar favorites on tap including Solo Coffee Blonde Ale and Valravn Chocolate Cherry Stout, as well as a new passionfruit tart ale and a double dry hopped lemon drop IPA. March First stans will be able to grab that brewery's Astra Hard Seltzers on tap, too. In addition, Woodburn is releasing Solo Coffee Blonde in cans for the first time.
