Turner Classic Movies to Air 24-Hour Doris Day Film Marathon in June

The late Cincinnati native and music/movie superstar will be honored with a showing of her films like 'Calamity Jane,' 'Please Don't Eat the Daisies' and 'Pillow Talk.' Check out the movies' original trailers now.

The cable channel Turner Classic Movies has announced that it will air a special 24-hour marathon of movies starring Doris Day. One of the most popular film and music stars ever to come out of Cincinnati, Day passed away on May 13. She was 97.

The marathon will air all day on June 9 beginning at 6 a.m. with Day’s film debut, 1948’s Romance on the High Seas. The rest of the marathon will include 11 other movies — from Tea for Two and Calamity Jane to Please Don't Eat the Daisies and Pillow Talk —— as well as a 15-minute special at 1:30 p.m. spotlighting her 1976 appearance on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show (see below).
