Singer/songwriter John Hiatt will return to Cincinnati on Nov. 13  to perform at Taft Theatre. Tickets go on sale this Friday (Aug. 10) at 11 a.m. Ticket prices are $38.50 and $49.50 (plus fees). The show is being billed as "An Acoustic Evening with John Hiatt."

Hiatt will be coming to the Taft on his tour in support of The Eclipse Sessions, his first album since 2014's Terms of My Surrender. Four years is a long wait between LPs for Hiatt fans. After the tour for Surrender, Hiatt says he was creatively frozen by uncertainty due to various life events, including selling his farm in Tennessee and moving back to Nashville, as well as worry and wonder over the aging process (Hiatt turns 66 this year).

As the title suggests, Hiatt's new album was recorded during last summer's solar eclipse, which caused Nashville to go completely dark.

This morning, Roling Stone premiered the roots-rockin' new album track "Cry for Me."
