Cincinnati AltPop band Telehope has released a hyper-catchy new single titled "Against Us." The Electronic-tinged track loaded with snaking, layered melodies and airy atmospherics was made available this morning (Jan. 3) on most major digital platforms and certainly has all of the qualities of a Top 40 radio hit in the making.

"You know those times when you fake a smile to hide how you truly feel when the world seems to be against you?" the band says of the song via email. "This song is about that. It's about knowing you have come too far to give up, despite your circumstances and feelings."

Telehope — which currently features singer/guitarist Mark Brad, guitarist Adolph Goetz, keyboardist Ben Malson and drummer James Malson — released its sophomore album, Hello to the Now, in 2018, then followed it up last year with Hello to the Now (Reimagined), which contained remixes, reworked and acoustic versions of several of the LP's tracks.

"Against Us" is the first single from Telehope's next album, which they plan to release in mid-2020.

The new album will mark a new phase in Telehope's career. The band will be performing "Against Us" and another new song tonight when they headline Covington's Madison Live with guests Golds. And according to posts on the group's Facebook page, tonight's concert will be Brad's final show with the band, which will move forward as a trio. Showtime is 8 p.m.
