In 2018, Cincinnati Indie Rock band Blossom Hall played a Halloween show as the Pixies, the wildly influential AltRock band that inspired thousands of musicians big and small with their recorded output in the ’80s and ’90s.

The set — featuring Nancy Paraskevopoulos on bass and vocals, Phil Cotter on guitar and vocals and Zach Larabee on drums — was recorded and late last year it was released via Bandcamp as Holy Fingers - A Live Tribute to the Pixies. Featuring inspired versions of well-known songs like “Monkey Gone to Heaven” and “Gigantic,” the seven-track Holy Fingers also includes “Dig for Fire,” which Blossom Hall would go on to add to their shows on a regular basis.

This Saturday (Jan. 18), Blossom Hall will revisit their Pixies persona when they play a free show at MOTR Pub with Dayton band Moira and fellow Cincinnati ensemble Strobobean. The first half of BH’s set will include Pixies songs from the live release as well as “a few songs swapped,” so expect to hear some tunes not featured on Holy Fingers as well.

You can also catch Blossom Hall at Northside Tavern this Thursday. That free, 9 p.m. show also features performances by Brianna Kelly and WYD.
