Cincinnati native Nick Cearley will be returning to town this holiday season for a special performance with his, ahem, "Undie Rock" comedy duo, The Skivvies. Cearley and his Skivvies bandmate Lauren Molina (whose parents graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music) will make their Ludlow Garage debut on Dec. 6, performing their cheeky holiday show I Touch My Elf.

Cearley and Molina are both successful New York-based singers/musicians/actors who've done a mix of Broadway, off-Broadway and touring company work over the years. The Skivvies' "alt-cabaret" blend of comedy and music has been a popular nightlife attraction in NYC for the past several years, earning critical acclaim from Perez Hilton, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and Out Magazine, which wrote, "The Skivvies have managed to carve out a niche that we never knew needed to exist: It's part Weird Al-parody and part sexy burlesque… an unusual explosion of satire and sultry."

Besides their skimpy attire — if you haven't guessed, they perform in their underwear — The Skivvies are known for their funny original songs, as well as their clever mash-ups. Their holiday tunes have included blendings of songs like “I Melt with You" with "Frosty the Snowman” and “We Got the Beat" with "The Little Drummer Boy." Below you can check out "Scream and Shout (Holiday Edition)," which splices the will.i.am/Britney Spears song of the same name with Tears for Fears' "Shout" and "It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year."

CityBeat's Rick Pender chatted with Cearley and Molina ahead of their sold-out show at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in 2017.

Tickets for The Skivvies' Dec. 6 Ludlow Garage show are $15-$25 and on sale Friday (Sept. 27) at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.
