Fickle Hellcat
This Friday (Oct. 4), singer/songwriter/guitarist Rachel Maxann will release her first album with her band Fickle Hellcat.

The group’s self-titled full-length is the latest chapter in Maxann’s musical pursuits. A Cincinnati native, she got her start fronting a Funk/Rock band in Athens, Ohio, then went on to pursue projects while living in places like New Orleans and Los Angeles, forming Fickle Hellcat upon her return to the Queen City.

The band’s debut showcases Maxann’s alluring, emotive vocal style, which adds extra weight and depth to the songs’ strong melodic pull and fluid blend of Pop, Folk, Soul and Rock. The group on the album includes Maxann's brother Ian McCullough (piano), drummer Eric Wright, bassist Mike Wiley and Zack Pontzer on trumpet and guitar.

Fickle Hellcat will be doing some regional touring to support the new album’s release, including a show Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. at Bishop’s Quarter (212 W. Loveland Ave., Loveland, bishopsquarterbar.com).

Fickle Hellcat also performs next Saturday, Oct. 12, at Northside Tavern with Rachel Mousie and Saint Aubin.
