Cincinnati's summertime Friday Flow music series at Washington Park to feature TROOP, CeCe Peniston and more

The free concerts, which include a mix of local and national acts, begin on June 1 and run through August

Lineups for the various free music series at downtown's outdoor spaces Fountain Square and Washington Park have been coming out gradually as temperatures give an early preview of the hotness to come this summer. The latest summer series to announce performers is Washington Park's returning Friday Flow.

The lineup includes a mix of local and touring R&B, Soul, Dance and Pop acts, who will perform various Fridays at the park beginning June 1 and running through Aug. 17. Among the nationally acclaimed acts are TROOP, which had R&B hits in the ’80s with songs like "Mamacita," "Spread My Wings" and "All I Do is Think of You," and Dayton native CeCe Peniston, who dominated Billboard's Dance Music/Club Play charts in the early ’90s and is known for her hits like "Finally."

The free Friday Flow concerts begin at 7 p.m. (there is a "Friday Flow Happy Hour" starting at 5 p.m.).
