’Tis the season for summer concert announcements — especially for local venue Riverbend Music Center.
The slow drip of Riverbend concert announcements that began last year with shows like Alanis Morrissette's 25th-anniversary Jagged Little Pill tour, Maroon 5 and rapper NF has turned into a flood since the start of the year, as a large chunk of the venue's 2020 schedule has been unveiled. And the month isn't over yet.
Here are the concerts at Riverbend and PNC Pavilion that have been announced over the past three weeks (tickets are on sale now unless noted):
• Kesha with Big Freedia on May 19 at PNC Pavilion
• Kidz Bop Live at PNC Pavilion on June 19
• Dave Matthews Band at Riverbend on June 24 (tickets go on sale Feb. 21)
• Nickelback with Stone Temple Pilots and Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown at Riverbend on Jun 27
• Steely Dan with Steve Winwood at Riverbend on June 28 (tickets go on sale this Saturday)
• Daryl Hall & John Oates with Squeeze and KT Tunstall at Riverbend on July 12 (tickets go on sale Friday)
• Jimmy Buffett on July 14 at Riverbend
• Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang at PNC Pavilion on July 19 (tickets go on sale Friday)
• Barenaked Ladies with Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket at PNC Pavilion on July 21 (tickets go on sale Friday)
• Foreigner with Kansas and Europe on Aug. 1 at Riverbend
• The Charlie Daniels Band with The Marshall Tucker Band and Scooter Brown Band at PNC Pavilion on Aug. 14
• Alicia Keys at PNC Pavilion on Aug. 19 (tickets go on sale Monday)
• Matchbox 20 with The Wallflowers at Riverbend on Aug. 27
• Rod Stewart with Cheap Trick on Sept. 4 at Riverbend
On top of all of that, Riverbend also announced the 10 shows that will be included in its Country Megaticket bundle for 2020. Tickets for the individual concerts will go on sale at a later date, but those wanting to ensure access to all 10 can get their hands on a Megaticket beginning Friday.
