Riverbend Music Center has announced that this Thursday's sold-out Jason Aldean concert has been canceled. The heavy rainfall over the past several days has caused the Ohio River to rise above flood stage. The venue's proximity to the river makes the Thursday event impossible.

The show will not be rescheduled. Tickets are available at point of purchase (usually, if you buy tickets online with a credit card, your credit card is automatically refunded).

Here's the official word from Riverbend:

Due to the unprecedented amount of rainfall over the past few days causing the Ohio River to rise above flood stage, the Jason Aldean concert scheduled for this Thursday, September 13th has been canceled.  Refunds will be available at point of purchase.

The concert — featuring special guests Luke Combs, Lauren Alaina and Deejay Silver — sold out in mid-August.

UPDATE: Riverbend posted instructions for how to get refunds if you bought tickets at the Riverbend box office:

To receive a refund for tickets purchased at our Box Office, you must bring the tickets back to the Box Office. The Riverbend Box Office will be open regular business hours from 9/11/18– 9/18/18:

Monday through Friday, 11am–6pm

Saturday, 10am–2pm

Sunday, 1pm–TBD
