Innovative guitarist and prolific singer/songwriter Adrian Belew is returning to Greater Cincinnati next year to play an intimate show with his new quartet at the Ludlow Garage.

The Northern Kentucky native known for his work with David Bowie, Frank Zappa and King Crimson, as well as his various solo projects and albums with The Bears (alongside longtime Cincinnati colleagues Rob Fetters, Chris Arduser and Bob Nyswonger), is slated to play the Clifton venue on March 9. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. here.

Belew last performed in Cincinnati in 2017 with the Adrian Belew Power Trio. Next year he is touring with a new quartet featuring Jordan Perlson (drums), Saul Zonana (keyboards/guitar/vocals) and his Power Trio bandmate Julie Slick (bass). According to a recent post on Facebook (if you are a fan, you really need to check out Belew's Facebook page, where he shares amazing tales from throughout his storied career), the musician is releasing a new album in March called Pop-Sided.

Of the forthcoming tour, Belew says it will be "a more complete picture of most things I've done. More songs, new songs from the award-winning FLUX app, King Crimson material I haven't played for years, and a dose of classic Power Trio. It's my intention to make this the best Adrian Belew show ever!"

In the post Belew also says he's especially excited to play material from the FLUX project, as well as Crimson material he couldn't play with the trio done "the exact way it was done on record" and some music he's worked on with other artists (besides Bowie and Zappa, Belew has worked with numerous others on stage and in the studio, from Talking Heads to Nine Inch Nails)
