Dallas Moore is the definition of a perennial Cincinnati Entertainment Award nominee. CityBeat has hosted the annual celebration of Cincinnati-area music makers since 1997 (take a look back at the show's first 20 years here). In that time, a handful of local favorites have earned nominations over several consecutive years. But few have been nominated for — and won — quite as many as Dallas has.

At this Sunday's CEAs, Moore earned his sixth award in the Country music category. This year also marked his 21st time being nominated for the Country CEA. That's right — Dallas has been nominated 21 times in the 22-year history of the program.

He's usually been on hand at the CEA ceremony to graciously accept his awards, but being a working musician, a couple of times he's been unable to make it. This year he had a long-booked show in Lexington, Kentucky to play, so he missed being at Memorial Hall for the festivities. He was also unable to pick up his trophy in 2003 for gig-related reasons — 16 years ago, a snowstorm kept him from getting back in time for the CEA show.

But Dallas has finally claimed his missing prizes and his four previous CEAs will soon be joined by the 2003 and 2019 ones. He swung by the CityBeat offices with his family today to pick up both of his unclaimed awards and pose for a few pics. Better late than never!
