Organizers behind Louisville's Forecastle Festival announced this morning, April 16, that they have made the decision to cancel this year's event.

"Forecastle Festival 2020 will no longer take place this year. While we are disappointed to share this news, the health and safety of our fans, artists, staff and community are always our number one priority. Although the 18th edition of the event will not continue as planned, rest assured Forecastle will return stronger than ever in 2021," fest organizers wrote in a Facebook post.

The festival was scheduled to take place July 17-19 at Louisville's Waterfront Park and featured headlining  performances from Jack Johnson, Cage The Elephant and The 1975.

If you already purchased a ticket to this year's event, you will be refunded automatically and receive an email with info regarding processing and timing.
