The lineup for the first Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival — set for May 17-19 at Columbus, Ohio’s Mapfre Stadium — has been announced and it’s a doozy, particularly for fans of hard and heavy Rock, but also for ones with open minds and tastes.

Headliners announced for the inaugural three-day festival are Foo Fighters, System of a Down and Disturbed. Bring Me The Horizon, The Prodigy, Ghost, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Chevelle, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, Pussy Riot, Action Bronson, Refused and (fittingly) The Cult have also been announced for Sonic Temple’s debut. (See the full lineup below.)

Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday (Nov. 30). Click here for ticketing details.

Sonic Temple is being produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, which co-founded Columbus’ Rock on the Range festival. Rock on the Range dissolved after the 2018 concerts due to “creative differences” between Wimmer and co-founder AEG. If the Sonic Temple lineup is any indication, those creative disagreements might have been over expanding the lineup to include some less-expected bookings like Mark Lanegan, The Distillers, The Hives and Pussy Riot.

Rock on the Range’s comedy element is returning — Andrew Dice Clay and Paul Shore have been announced for Sonic Temple. Henry Rollins is also slated to perform a spoken word set.
