If you've been desperate to physically flip through some vinyl albums while searching for your next find — and just pretending to do so in crates at home really wasn't cutting it — there's some good news: Northside's Shake It Records has reopened to in-person shopping.

Since March, they've been doing online orders, limited delivery and some curbside pick-up, but as of Monday (June 1), they're now open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

In order to keep shoppers and themselves safe during the pandemic, they're asking customers to wear a mask — "It's literally the least we could do. (We're quite fond of our parents & grandparents)" — and to try to social distance in the shop. They will be sanitizing and wiping down surfaces and limiting the amount of humans inside as well.

In addition to reopening with some COVID-19 safety protocols in place, Shake It is also selling a "Kindly Distance 6 LPs" T-shirt, so you can let everyone know you both appreciate good music and not dying from infectious diseases.

The shirt, which costs $14.99, asks anyone around you to observe a distance of 6 LPs from your corporeal form. All of the proceeds from the limited-edition tee will go to Churches Active in Northside (CAIN), typically the beneficiary of Shake It's Record Store Day food drive. The funds will help CAIN's Emergency Food Pantry and their other relief programs.

Buy the shirt at shakeitrecords.com. It will ship in mid-June.

A timely, limited edition tee to benefit our friends at CAIN (Churches Active In Northside). We were unable to have our bi-annual, non-perishable food drive for CAIN Emergency Food Pantry on Record Store Day, so we are printing up a run of these tee shirts with all proceeds benefiting their relief programs for those less fortunate in our neighborhood and beyond. They are good folks who do good work. LINK IN BIO! Available in XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL. These were just sent off to be printed so we will probably start shipping in mid-June as we slowly roll back into (hopefully) normalcy. #shakeitrecords #Cincinnati #cincymusic #recordstore #northside45223 #Ohio #Kentucky #Indiana #cincinnatistate #xavieruniversity #vinylcommunity #universityofcincinnati #vinyloftheday #vinylrecords #vinyloninstagram #vinyl #quarantine #churchesactiveinnorthside #foodbank #benefit #socialdistancing #ohiostrong #kentuckystrong
