CityBeat is thrilled to premiere the eye-grabbing new music video for "Many in Few" by Cincinnati Alternative Pop band Phasmids. The group formed in 2016 and features singer Jonathan Goolsby, bassist Jared Wilson, drummer Matthew Risher, pianist Rachel Mousie and utility player Christopher Sweeney.

Last year Phasmids released its debut recording, a self-titled EP which nicely showcases the group's New Wave/New Romantic-flavored sound, a captivating mix of spacious atmospherics, supple electronic ornamentation, warm and lush guitar and keys and eloquently emotive vocals. The entrancing, ethereally catchy "Many in Few" is the lead-off track on the EP and a great representation of Phasmids' enchanting style, which would have been a perfect fit on the playlists of the late, beloved Oxford, Ohio radio station 97X/WOXY.

The video was directed by Matthew Risher, with editing and visual effects handled by Andrew Spohn and Alyx McLaughlin serving as cinematographer. The dancers whose movements give the video its fittingly swirly aura are Ian Timothy Forsgren, Laura Guy, Tom Hester, Naj Jabari, Ela Kinker, Alyx McLaughlin, Angie Reichert-Hester and Jennifer Reilly.

Phasmids are planning to return to local stages this summer. Click here to keep up to date.
