Cincinnati's large outdoor music venue Riverbend Music Center and its smaller PNC Pavilion (located on the same grounds) had an impressive 2018, with numerous sold-out concert events. And it's 2019 season is looking pretty strong as well, with two concerts several months away already sold out.

Yesterday, Riverbend announced its July 2019 concert featuring ’90s stars Hootie & the Blowfish had sold out. Today, Riverbend announced that its May 12 concert at PNC Pavilion featuring British Pop band The 1975 has also sold out.

Riverbend and PNC Pavilion will likely see more sold-out concert for the 2019 season. Other big events coming next year include the final local tour stops of Hard Rock icons Ozzy Osbourne and KISS (at two separate concerts), plus visits from Iron Maiden, Tedeschi Trucks Band (with Blackberry Smoke and Shovels & Rope) and Train (with Goo Goo Dolls, another MOR call-back to the Pop Rock of yesteryear that might tap into some of that dedicated local Hootie fanbase). And, of course, many shows are still to be announced for the coming concert season.
