The wave of concert news this week has been absolutely glorious after a year without live music, and we're excited to see local performers getting in on the fun.

The "Rockin' the Roebling" concert series returns this year after taking 2020 off due to the coronavirus pandemic. A partnership among Moerlein Lager House, Cincinnati Parks and the Cincinnati Parks Foundation, the weekly concerts roar back beginning May 20.

Noah Smith kicks things off on Thursday, and the series will feature other regional performers like Dangerous Jim & the Slims, Marsha Brady, Model Behavior and more.

Concerts will take place 6-10 p.m. every Thursday through Sept. 2 on the Schmidlapp Event Lawn adjacent to the Moerlein Lager House in Smale Riverfront Park, part of the DORA area at The Banks. If you buy a beer at Moerlein Lager House’s Moer To Go concession window, $1 will be donated to the Cincinnati Parks Foundation. Food and additional beverages are available.
