The Red Rocker is coming to Cincinnati, and he's bringing along some friends.
Sammy Hagar and his band The Circle have announced the "Crazy Times" summer tour that will take them everywhere from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, with a stop at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Fan club members can access pre-sale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, while the public sale will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28.
A few famous friends join Hagar in The Circle, including Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson. But Hagar also is bringing Classic Rock stalwart George Thorogood & the Destroyers.
"A tour this size has been a long time coming and it's definitely going to be worth the wait," Hagar says in a release. "The Circle and I are super excited and ready to throw the party of the year with George Thorogood. We're going to take the music and party to a whole new level— 'Crazy Times' is an understatement."
The band will play hits from Hagar's time in Van Halen, his solo career, Montrose and a few Led Zeppelin songs in honor of Bonham's late father, LZ's drummer John Bonham.
Below, watch The Circle perform Hagar's hit "I Can't Drive 55."
