Billy Corgan — frontdude of seminal AltRock band Smashing Pumpkins — has announced a run of solo dates for this fall. The tour includes a Nov. 15 show at Covington’s Madison Theater.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (Oct. 4) at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.

Corgan has spent the bulk of his touring time of late on the road with the Pumpkins, which re-teamed with original guitarist James Iha for a near-reunion of the band’s founding lineup. The only missing piece was bassist D’arcy Wretzky, who has had a contentious back-and-forth with Corgan since the initial Shiny and Oh So Bright tour dates were announced.

Corgan also worked in a string of solo dates overseas in early summer. He has released two solo albums, including his most recent — the Rick Rubin-co-produced Ogilala — in 2017.

On the EU and UK solo dates, Corgan played two sets. One was mostly solo material, including several new songs purported to be from his forthcoming third solo LP. The second set was Pumpkins music, ranging from hits like “Tonight Tonight,” “1979” and “Disarm” to lesser-known songs from later-period SP albums (like “Wound” and “Violet Rays”) and relative “deep cuts” like “To Sheila” and “Spaceboy.”
