This Saturday’s Cincinnati Guitar Festival will feature a slew of guitar players, not just from Cincinnati but also from around the country.
The event begins at 8 p.m. at Madison Theater (730 Madison Ave., Covington, madisontheateronline.com). Tickets are $15 in advance or $25 at the door, with proceeds going to Play It Forward (pifcincy.org), the local organization that assists musicians in the area with health and financial resources.
Local players participating in the CGF include Jay Jesse Johnson and Noah Wotherspoon, as well as Danny Frazier, Marcos Sastre and Brian Wallen, plus various non-guitar-playing musicians and singers. Portland, Oregon’s Ben Rice is
another headliner, as is Stacy Mitchhart, who cut his teeth in Cincinnati’s Blues scene and now tends to his successful career from his home base in Tennessee.Here is the full lineup listing from the CGF event page on Facebook:
