Ohio-bred Rockers The Black Keys are launching a 32-date North American tour this summer.
The Dropout Boogie tour will stop at Riverbend Music Center on Sept. 3. Band of Horses and Early James are also on the bill.
Tickets go on sale to Black Keys fan club members starting at 10 a.m. Feb. 1. Citi cardmembers will also get special presale tickets from 10 a.m. Feb. 2-10 p.m. Feb. 3 at citientertainment.com. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Feb. 4 at ticketmater.com and riverbend.org.
The group — singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney — has been touted as “one of the best Rock & Roll bands on the planet” by Uncut. This will be their first time out on the road since they toured behind 2019's Let's Rock.
In 2021, The Black Keys snagged a Grammy nomination for their album Delta Kream, a collection of Mississippi hill country Blues songs. That year they also released a "Super Deluxe 10th anniversary" version of the album El Camino, which garnered them three Grammy wins in 2011 (Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album) and spawned hits including "Gold on the Ceiling" and "Lonely Boy."
