The World's Greatest Facepainted Rap Duo, Insane Clown Posse, Returns to Cincinnati This May

Put the Faygo on ice (or not, it's just getting sprayed everywhere anyway) — Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J are headed to Riverfront Live in a couple of months, then host the 20th-annual Gathering of the Juggalos this summer near Bloomington, Indiana

On the heels of the release of their latest album, Fearless Fred Fury (which is, obviously, the "fourth Joker Card in the second Deck of the Dark Carnival"), Insane Clown Posse will be pulling through Cincinnati on May 10 for a show at Riverfront Live (the former Annie's on Kellogg Ave.). The infamous Rap duo of Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J will be joined by Rittz, Mushroomhead, Mac Lethal and Kissing Candice for the 5:45 p.m. show.

Tickets are available now for $35 via ticketweb.com. They'll cost you $40 at the door on the day of the show.

ICP had a run of packed, Faygo-soaked shows at Bogart's over the past couple of decades (in 2017, they played The Venue Cincinnati), including one in 2005 that was reviewed for the U.K.'s NME by CityBeat's Mike Breen.

ICP recently dropped (via World Star Hip Hop) a new "Psypher" titled "8 Ways To Die," featuring Three 6 Mafia co-founder DJ Paul, Stitches, Esham, Mac Lethal, Ouija Macc and Cage. Stereogum was gobsmacked by this glorious hodgepodge of artists. In other recent ICP news that has confused the press, Shaggy and J apparently did an acoustic set at South By Southwest.

And mark your calendars — 2019's Gathering of the Juggalos is coming up this summer and it's taking place only about a three-hour car ride far from Cincinnati. The 20th-annual GotJ is set for Lawrence County Recreational Park near Bloomington, Indiana July 31-Aug. 3.
