Siri Imani, poet, teacher, musician and member of Cincinnati Hip Hop favorites and activists Triiibe — reigning Cincinnati Entertainment Awards “Artist of the Year” — has just released a new single called "Wizard Walk."

Imani calls the track "light-hearted, but slightly vulnerable" in an email.

The release came with a fun music video, which she says was a way to show off a different side of herself, outside of the artist. It showcases "some of my favorite moments of ME- OFF THE STAGE," she says in a Facebook post.

"Just me being goofy honestly," Imani says via email. "I felt it was important to show this side just as much as I do with the activist/artist side of myself."

You can download "Wizard Walk" on Apple Music.

"Wizard Walk," plus her single from earlier this year, "Bossa" — a summer anthem that plays off Brazilian Bossa Nova beats — and "Imani's Imagination" will be on Imani's first solo project, duality. She says that will be dropping in September.

Of the concept, she writes on Facebook:

"As fulfilling as it is-

Sometimes I feel slave to the mic.

Sometimes I feel slave to the message.

Sometimes I even feel slave to the movement.

Like my only purpose is to serve & truly protect..

This year- I plan to clear all outward expectation.

“Duality,” has always been one of my favorite words. Who says we all have to be just ONE thing? It’s not in my nature to conform or stunt my own potential. I hope to be a strong leader, role model, teacher, etc. AND....I also just want to be 25, filled with the blackest joy you’ve ever seen."
