Cincinnati Hip Hop trio Counterfeit Money Machine has some new spooky, scary visuals (in a silly, low-budget and playful way) perfectly timed for your Halloween enjoyment. The slasher movie parody was shot at Radio Artifact and produced by AP Counterfeit, who is joined by fellow MC Kill Bill and producer/DJ Juan Cosby in the local group.
The video is for the CMM track "Murderers & Mascots," the first single from the group's forthcoming full-length album, When You Find a Stranger in the Alps. Check out the world premiere of the video below. (Warning: There is some black-and-white blood and gore, so it might be NSFW if your workplace is oddly sensitive to giant mascot-head-wearing violence.)
This Friday, Counterfeit Money Machine will celebrate the music video's release and album announcement with a party/performance at Northside Tavern. The show will also feature sets from Raised X Wolves, Spoken Nerd (from Nashville) and Xzela. Showtime for the free show is 9 p.m. CMM's performance will be its first public appearance since the Overcast Hip Hop Festival at Urban Artifact in August.
