Failed romantic relationships are the subject of Breakups R Tough, the new group exhibition at the collectively run U.turn Art Space through April 24.

The artists featured in the show — from Cincinnati, San Diego, Chicago, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Providence and Columbus — are Shawnee Barton, Stephanie Brooks, Alex Da Corte, Craig Damrauer, Erica Eyres, Lynne Harlow, Peter Huttinger, Eric Lebofsky, Joetta Maue, Casey Riordan Millard and Michael J. Morris. The show is the result of some cutting-edge intellectual inquiry (and creative response) to the nature of relationships.

According to U.turn's exhibit statement, the show "considers how interpersonal interactions cease or mutate into something more chaotic.” Grafted into the dialogue are slanted looks at other stages in the quest for love, companionship and sex, such as propositions, courtship and self-pleasure.

The gallery is open noon-4 p.m. Saturdays and by appointment.
