Museum Gallery/Gallery Museum, the newish collective-run gallery space in Over-the-Rhine's Pendleton District, is operated by seven or so artists who are or have been connected to the MFA program of UC's DAAP. One of the space’s curators, photographer Amanda Aton, is hosting an exhibition of her own recent photographs at the gallery this Friday.

Coming Home Late or Not At All professes to feature, according the gallery: “open ended visual novellas, emotionally taut and tentatively explored. These aesthetically quiet and ardent images hint at the criticality and perhaps emptiness of the everyday.” Indeed, from the photographs already circulating, one can see the tender dilemmas to which the press release refers. Human characters are backlit into inky silhouettes. Landscape, worn down architecture, and snippets of narrative are all dazzled in shimmering light play.

Opening Friday from 7-11 p.m., the exhibition runs through May 21.
