For having a reputation as a conservative city, Cincinnati’s arts advocates sure know how to let loose. The Weston Art Gallery’s annual fundraiser Exhibitionism 3 gives the institution’s supporters an opportunity to get wild for a good cause: All proceeds benefit their annual programming.
A walk past the Weston’s lower-level gallery proper offers supporters a glimpse into an underground “club” unlike anything you might expect. Featuring performers on platforms, an “off-limits” underground theater, face and body painting for guests and an annual lingerie fashion show — the event feels nothing if not fantastically surreal. In addition to the visual stimuli, VIP ticket holders are treated to dish, drinks and desserts by the bite from Cincinnati chefs. Go if you want to see how the “cool kids” get weird.
8 p.m.-1 a.m. $35-$100. Weston Art Gallery, 650 Walnut St., Downtown, westonartgallery.com/exhibitionism-2013.php.
