Doesn’t it feel like Final Fridays get better in the fall? This Friday should be no exception, with (among other things) Evan Carroll — an MFA candidate at UC — presenting a solo exhibition at Museum Gallery/Gallery Museum, imaginative new paintings by Michael Stillion at 1305 Gallery and an exhibition of new work by Meghan Robson at Creative Gallery.

Robson is an Art Academy graduate and, with her husband Dan, is one of the main forces behind Creative Gallery. After a steady lineup of group and solo exhibitions that they’ve organized for artists near and far, it should be interesting to witness how her artistic offerings might be specially synched to the exhibition space she operates.

Robson has been working this year on reinterpretations of wallpaper patterns that embed silhouetted women and the outlines of sex toys and other fetishistic paraphernalia into the elaborate motifs. The work will be welcoming second glances throughout the evening. Come out to support one of the hard-working assets to our local arts community, and enjoy a stroll through the other gallery openings as well. Creative Gallery is located at 1315 Main St., Over-the-Rhine.
