How will the conceptually based installations of Kennedy Arts Center’s 2012 Ohio Arts Council Artist-In-Residence, Migiwa Orimo, look like inside the Kennedy Mansion — a Gothic-style home built in 1875?  If you’re as curious as I am about that question, you won’t think of missing the opening for A Gathering: Installations by Migiwa Orimo. In past exhibitions, Yellow Springs-based fine artist Orimo has employed telephone booths, surveillance cameras and culled text from social networking sites like Twitter, so it will be interesting to see how the artist’s work translates within the historic home. Orimo’s exhibition opening is only a teaser for the real treat however, and over the course of the following four weeks the artist will work with a core group of adults and youth to envision and develop a multimedia installation on site as part of the Center’s OAC grant. 6-8 p.m. Kennedy Heights Arts Center, 6546 Montgomery Rd.
