Multi-show openings at the Carnegie Arts Center expand in a new direction Friday with Andrea Kay’s performance of Flutterby in the Otto M. Budig Theatre at 8 p.m. Kay combines her drawings, watercolors and a narrative into a dramatic presentation created when her father was dying of Alzheimer’s for “a reflection of how each of us faces the loss of a loved one.”
Kay’s art works will remain on view through Nov. 23, as will exhibitions by Yvonne van Eijden, Stefan Chinov, Charlie Goering and Petra Krauckova, opening from 6-9 p.m. that evening. Admission to the opening is $8 ($5 for seniors and students).
Admission is free during regular gallery hours. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon-3 p.m. Saturday. Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center is at 1028 Scott Blvd., Covington.
