CityBeat photographer Jesse Fox couples food and flesh in her bright, humorous and slightly confrontational work for the exhibit A Profane Book of Hours, opening Friday at Covington Arts. The show, with photographer David Martin, examines the confluence and congruence of appetite, identity and desire. While Fox’s sexy — and sometimes slightly gross — work aims to address what one reveals and what one hides, Martin’s exacting and sly meditations on bourgeois expectations coexist on the opposite end of the spectrum.
