Semantics, Cincinnati’s oldest continuously operating nonprofit art gallery, is currently celebrating its 20th season of serving as a training ground for experimental and/or inexperienced artists.

To keep up that work, Loraine Wible, Semantics member and professor at Northern Kentucky University, has encouraged the students from her video, installation and sound class to exhibit their final projects for the course. The result is My First Art Show, featuring varied media and concepts from artist/students Emily Brunner, Luke Durstock, Kelly Hinners, Samantha Kern and more.

7-10 p.m. Saturday. Free. Semantics, 1107 Harrison Ave., Brighton, facebook.com/semanticsgallery
