If one could say there is an “appropriate” art show for a gallery inside of a public restroom — aka Northside International Airport’s “Bathroom Gallery” — it might be Micco Caporale’s upcoming exhibition Oh Feel Ya.
The Minneapolis-based, Cincinnati-raised graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design illustrates her life via a particularly gritty lens of art history, pop culture and a self-proclaimed interest in “butts.” Oh Feel Ya consists of posters that irreverently play with the construction of masculinity — objectifying the male body and implying a female gaze — and the title is likely a reference to Hamlet’s Ophelia, a long-established representation of female sexual madness.
6 -11 p.m. Saturday. Free. Bathroom Gallery, Northside International Airport, 4029 Hamilton Ave., Northside, 513-541-5999.
