If you missed the hubbub about this week’s OFFF Cincinnati (the annual festival celebrating “the close relationship between art, creative thought and digital technology”), the exhibition opening for ON! Handcrafted Digital Playgrounds, curated by the festival’s founder, Hector Ayuso, might be your last chance to see what all the fuss was about. Prior to the official opening celebration, there will be an artist talk with participating artist/designer/technologist Joshua Davis, renowned for his work in digital and experiential design. As part of the evening’s opening celebration, Davis will create one of his intricate symmetrical line-based live wall drawings on site to engage visitors. Davis’ piece is just one example of the kind of “new museum experience,” which Ayuso believes can empower the visitor to feel like a collaborator in his or her own interactive museum-going experience. 6 p.m. cocktails, 7 p.m. artist talk with Joshua Davis, 8 p.m. opening celebration; free for CAC Members and OFFF Cincinnati ticket holders, $10 for non-members. Contemporary Arts Center, 44 E. Sixth St., Downtown. 513-345-8400, contemporaryartscenter.org.
