This year, Carl Solway Gallery in the West End is commemorating a half-century in business. Given the lightning speed at which Cincinnati art galleries arrive and depart, 10 years would be an accomplishment, let alone 50. The current exhibition, Thanks, celebrates this milestone with an all-star lineup of 60-plus artists whose works have been featured in the gallery during its five-decade history. Museum quality prints by luminaries Pablo Picasso, Willem de Kooning, George Braque and Joan Miro figure prominently along with original works by A-list painters such as Sam Gilliam, Helen Frankenthaler, Peter Halley and many, many more.
