Thunder-Sky, Inc. kicks off its first exhibition of the New Year with a two-man show featuring the work of artists Tom Hieronymus Towhey and Adrian Cox. Towhey is primarily self-taught (although he briefly attended both the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati in the late 1970s) and has worked full time as such since the mid-'80s, exhibiting his colorful, daydream-like, large-scale paintings both locally and regionally. St. Louis-based painter Cox, who has an MFA from Washington University and works as gallery coordinator for an alternative art space in that town, likewise seems interested in the drama of a narrative scene filled to the brim with supernatural creatures.
Through Feb. 13. Free. Thunder-Sky, Inc., 4573 Hamilton Ave., Northside, raymondthundersky.org.
