Commemorating the 50th anniversary of American writer Flannery O’Connor’s death, Thunder-Sky curators Keith Banner and Bill Ross have asked several artists to create work in any media inspired by the iconic Southern essayist, who also dabbled in painting and cartooning. Participating artists include Joey Versoza, Antonio Adams, Emily Brandehoff, Doug Korfhagen, Chris Reeves and photographer and Live-In Gallery founder Molly Donnermeyer, who lovingly made several pies for the upcoming Saturday reception (including O’Connor’s favorite: peppermint chiffon).

The exhibit runs through Aug. 9. Free. Thunder-Sky, Inc., 4573 Hamilton Ave., Northside, raymondthundersky.org.
