The Tree of Life: a unifying symbol of hope, wisdom, protection, strength, bounty, beauty and redemption. Cincinnati artist Matt Kotlarczyk created an interpretation of this collective human image for the Cincinnati Art Museum, upon which members of the community can share their hopes, dreams and wishes for the New Year by writing them on colorful pieces of paper that will be placed on the tree in clear glass tubes. On Sunday, the thoughts and hopes will be collected and burned — the ashes used to fertilize a new tree that will signify rebirth and a new start.
Through Sunday. Free admission. Cincinnati Art Museum, 953 Eden Park Drive, Eden Park, cincinnatiartmuseum.org.
