Not many art historians are referred to as “totally badass” in Youtube videos of their presentations, but Julia Bryan-Wilson is the exception to that rule. 


The associate professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of California Berkeley has written about the ways in which artists and critics have leveraged their political power by redefining issues of creative labor and embracing the idea of art practice as “work.” The widely published scholar of feminist and queer theory, art activism and politics will speak at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
