For proof that warmer spring weather is on its way, head to the Zoo Blooms flower display at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden (one of only two accredited botanical gardens in Ohio), featuring more than one million daffodils, hyacinths, flowering trees and one of the largest tulip displays in the Midwest. Although the Cincinnati Zoo’s garden experts are predicting that primetime tulip viewing won’t be until mid-April, the buds on the plants and some of the zoo’s early bloomers offer visitors proof that spring has indeed sprung.

10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily; open until 6 p.m. May 24-Sept. 1. $15 adult; $11 child/senior. Cincinnati Zoo, 3400 Vine St., Avondale, cincinnatizoo.org.
