The duo, who very publicly became a couple during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, capture the ennui of married artistes living in France during the mid-1970s, seeking any means to rekindle the dying embers of their once-passionate love. Based on advanced word, it will be fascinating to watch Jolie’s artfully faithful take on European drama, and how willing American audiences will be to venture into such territory with mega-watt tabloid superstars.
