U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot will hold four town halls for constituents, The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. But you should clear your calendar quickly if you want to chime in — those events are today and tomorrow.
Last month, Chabot launched the first in-person town halls he's held since 2014, visiting Lincoln Heights, Sayler Park and Crosby Township in Hamilton County and Harlan Township in Warren County. A number of constituents, many angry about health care, President Donald Trump and other issues, weighed in at those forums.
Now, he's doing more. The Republican from Westwood, who represents parts of Hamilton County and all of Warren County, took fire from his last challenger, Democrat Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Aftab Pureval, during the election last year for not being accessible to constituents. Chabot responded to that criticism by pointing to phone conference-style listening sessions he has held.
CityBeat has reached out to Chabot's office for more details about upcoming town hall meetings. This week's town halls will be at the following locations and times:
Monday, March 18:
The Colerain Township Government Complex at 4200 Springdale Road from 4 p.m.- 5 p.m.
The Indian Hill Winter Club at 10005 Fletcher Road from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
Tuesday, March 19:
