Gaslight Property has plans to develop a $16.5 million, 117-unit luxury apartment complex on Whitfield Avenue in Clifton. A 29-year-old Sumatran orangutan held in an Argentine zoo can be freed and transferred to a sanctuary after a court recognized the ape as a “non-human person” unlawfully deprived of its freedom, the Huffington Post reports. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, along with five other children’s hospitals in Ohio, has received a $1 million grant to study child-abuse injuries, Attorney General Mike DeWine announced Dec. 19. American taxpayers have spent roughly $1.6 trillion on war since 9/11, according to a new report from the Congressional Research Service. That equals out to roughly $337 million a day, or $14 million per hour. More than half of the $1.6 trillion has gone toward operations in Iraq, while $686 billion has been spent on operations in Afghanistan, the report found. World -1
