Colerain Township Police Warning Parents to Check Children's Halloween Candy for Razor Blades

According to a post on Twitter, the police say they received reports of razor blades found hidden in a candy bar obtained in the Pleasant Run area

Colerain Township Police have issued a warning to parents to check their children's Halloween trick-or-treating haul for razor blades.

According to a post on Twitter, the police say they received reports of razor blades found hidden in candy bars obtained in the Pleasant Run area.


They are asking anyone with information about the incident or if anyone has found razor blades in candy to call 513-321-COPS.

According to a CNN report about the Colerain candy tampering, someone found a razor blade hidden in the wrapper of their candy bar and cut their finger. That person went to the hospital where they received stitches.

According to the same CNN story, a man was also arrested in in Waterbury, Connecticut after police discovered razor blades "at the bottom of" children's trick-or-treat bags.
