Another hometown comedy hero returns. Josh Sneed will yuk it up at his “home” club, Go Bananas, Friday through Sunday. The former P&G-tech geek turned stand-up comedian and T-shirt mogul wraps up a busy year, and gets set to kick off what will hopefully be an even more hectic 2009. His album Unacceptable, released by Comedy Central records earlier this year, is available via download through Amazon and iTunes. It has been getting rave reviews. Sneed will also be one of the hundreds of comedians qualified for Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Showdown. Last year our guy placed second as resurgent ventriloquist Jeff Dunham grabbed the top spot. Sneed was somewhat humbled by the overwhelming response to his comedy, saying at the time, “(Jeff Dunham is) the hottest guy on Comedy Central right now. His hour special just aired right before the competition, so they're very high on him. To finish second to him felt like finishing first." You can help him capture the top spot starting in January when the 2009 competition begins. Meanwhile, check out the man in person so you can tell your friends around the country what a hoot he is. $8-$12.
