As Conan O’Brien and Ronald McDonald have shown, very tall, animated redheads equal comedy gold. But, like O’Brien, comedian Todd Yohn has more than just ginger locks and a major height-advantage over Danny DeVito going for him. Yohn’s mix of physical comedy, stand-up, improv and amusing songs has led to appearances on HBO and Comedy Central, as well as regular appearances on The Bob and Tom Show. His song “Orange Barrels” that should endear himself to locals who travel the perpetually under-construction highways of Greater Cincinnati.
Yohn will cap off a Thanksgiving weekend run at Go Bananas Comedy Club in Montgomery with a special 8 p.m. performance on Sunday serving as a benefit for the Michael W. Bany Scholarship Fund, which annually awards a music-education scholarship in the name of beloved late local bass player, Michael Bany, who was murdered after a gig in 1995.
Tickets are $15, $10 if you bring a non-perishable food item. Get details here.
