It’s not immediately apparent that comedian Tom Dustin is from Boston, as he doesn’t sound like the guys from Car Talk or the cast of Good Will Hunting. “Every time I get on a plane to go to another part of the country, particularly the Midwest, I make a conscious effort to sound like the locals,” he says. Usually he can pull it off — unless he has a few beers. “You can’t even understand me then. I sound like every scene in The Departed.” While in Cincinnati, Dustin will be recording a CD. “I’ve been told my act is kind of mean, but I pull it off in a likeable way.”
