Dallas Moore Readies “Hank To Thank”

Area label Sol Records is taking pre-orders now for the Dallas Moore Band’s next release, Hank To Thank, culled from the locally-based Country crew’s sessions one year ago with longtime Willie Nelson guitarist Jody Payne at the site of Cincinnati’s Herzog studios where Hank Williams laid down some of his early, big hits. —-

Everyone who pre-orders the release will receive an instant download of the first single, “Carolina Sunshine” (which is receiving airplay already on satellite radio), as well as a signed and hand-numbered CD, which will be delivered before the Nov. 22 street date. Click here to reserve your copy, then head down to Fountain Square tonight as Moore and Co. close out the every-Tuesday “Southern Sounds” music series on Fountain Square starting at 7 p.m.—-

“Carolina Sunshine” is also receiving exposure with its inclusion on the compilation Southern Independent XXX Volume 1, which is based off of a “movement” launched by singer/songwriter Shooter Jennings that is an effort to give Country-flavored artists without an exact pigeonhole for mainstream music outlets their own new “genre” called XXX. The comp also includes Sol Records’ Fifth on the Floor, Jennings, Drive-By Truckers and many others. Click here to download Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 from the “Give Me My XXX” website.
