Cincinnati’s downtown Procter & Gamble (P&G) offices were closed Wednesday, May 18, due to reported security concerns, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

CPD said in a statement that they received information from Kenton County law enforcement on Tuesday regarding a “safety concern” in reference to the 1 Procter & Gamble Plaza location.

Officials with CPD say they offered security detail for P&G employees entering the building Wednesday morning; however, at 5:30 a.m. P&G decided to close the office for the day.

No one has been charged at this time. Police say that this multi-jurisdiction is still ongoing and no more information has been released.

It is unclear when the downtown P&G offices will be reopening.

CityBeat will provide updates as more information comes in.
